Having personally experienced the challenges and frustrations of this process, especially through my Mexican husband’s journey, I understand how daunting it can be. Initially, my husband and I hired a lawyer to assist with our application, but it was then rejected because the lawyer was unaware of the correct timeline for applying for citizenship. Determined to succeed, I studied the process myself.
