I have used several applications to help with my learning of the Italian language- Babel, Duolingo and Rosetta Stone- but for me and for I think many of us, learning as close to in-person as you can with Lingua Lunga and Alice is the best. Alice combines the skills of verbal, writing and understanding into the Zoom classes you take with her as well as homework to keep you accountable and learning as much as possible. I started Italian with Alice the first week I was enrolled in an Italian university for a Ph.D. course. Although in theory, the program was international, in practice most lessons were in Italian, for which reason it became clear that learning the language earlier was a necessity. The flexibility of online classes allowed me to start from zero to a comfortable B2 relatively quickly. Now, after two years, I am preparing myself for a C1 certification and, perhaps more importantly, I am taking full advantage of the opportunities that a rich network of Italian professors and colleagues offered me. I believe that being able to talk with locals in their mother tongue was immensely important for both personal and professional reasons. For this, I sincerely recommend taking any of the courses offered at Lingua Lunga.

Teacher Alice is absolutely excellent! She was very precise and helped me correct mispronunciations which was precious to me, because I am a Deaf Chef.
